Northern Hard Maple Flooring

Maple flooring is one of the hardest flooring options available. It is the hardwood flooring commonly used for bowling alleys and gymnasiums, and was once used for the turned legs of most furniture. Maple flooring is also the lightest colored hardwood floor we offer - a very pale cream ranging from slightly pink to almost white in Select Grade, with frequent medium tan to brown striations in Country Grade. The whiteness of maple flooring can best be maintained by using a water based finish or an oil finish will impart the traditional yellow tone of a gym floor. For a durable, clean-looking hardwood floor, Maple plank flooring presents an excellent option.

Maple Hardwood Flooring:
Select & Better Grade (MFMA 1st Grade): Northern Hard Maple Flooring

A very uniformly light colored choice, this grade of maple plank flooring offers a minimalist look with great durability.

Maple Hardwood Flooring:
Select & Better Rift & Quarter Sawn (MFMA 1st Grade): Northern Hard Maple Flooring

Available in solid hardwood planks or engineered planks by special order, unfinished, or factory pre-finished with a micro-bevel, and hand selected for "white" and straight grain. This grade of maple flooring offers the most uniform grain and light colored choice for flooring available for the most formal and minimalist settings, where great durability is desired.

Maple Hardwood Flooring:
Country Grade (MFMA 2nd Grade):

This grade of maple plank flooring is available in solid hardwood planks or engineered planks by special order, unfinished, or factory pre-finished with a micro-bevel, plain sawn, with much of the naturally occurring wood character remaining such as small tight knots, color variations and varying grain patterns for a slightly less formal look.

Our listing of solid maple hardwood flooring prices includes both pre-finished and unfinished wood planks in many widths and lengths. If you are interested in engineered maple floors, consider your application - will the maple flooring be installed on or below grade? Do you have moisture or stability concerns? Will your hardwood flooring be installed directly to a slab? Or, do you just need a thinner hardwood floor? Pricing of maple flooring is affected by the length and width of the floor boards, your choice of solid hardwood or engineered wood, whether you want your maple flooring prefinished or unfinished, as well as the grade of maple flooring you select. To complete your maple hardwood floor, don't forget custom milled maple air vents or custom maple stair materials. And of course, please check our specials page to see if any of our maple floors are overstocked.
