Northern Appalachian Hickory Flooring

Hickory is the hardest of the Eastern domestic species, famous for its use in axe and hammer handles, and more recently favored as a beautiful yet durable choice for hardwood flooring. Hickory flooring ranges from a light cream to a warm medium brown with occasionally deeper streaks. Hickory wide plank flooring has enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent years as its distinctive coloration lends itself to many design styles and its durability is nearly unsurpassed. With a water based finish, Hickory flooring retains the bright contrast in colors that makes this hardwood so appealing for plank flooring applications.

Country Plank offers Hickory Flooring as solid hardwood plank flooring as well as engineered hardwood flooring. Please click on the Prices tab(s) above for Hickory flooring widths & lengths available in each grade listed below and their respective per square foot prices - and, call or email for freight costs.

Hickory Hardwood Flooring:
Rustic Grade Hickory Flooring (NOFMA #3 Common & Better): Northern Appalachian Hickory Flooring

Available in solid Hickory flooring only, unfinished, plain sawn, with more of the naturally occurring wood characteristics remaining such as much larger, more frequent and potentially open knots, distinct color variations and varying grain patterns than Country Grade Hickory flooring. Rustic grade Hickory flooring is appropriate for any casual setting and runs about 70-30 dark (medium brown) to light.

Our listing of Hickory hardwood flooring prices includes both finished and unfinished wood planks in many widths and lengths. If you are interested in engineered Hickory floors, consider your application - will the Hickory flooring be installed on or below grade? Do you have moisture or stability concerns? Will your hardwood flooring be installed directly to a slab? Or, do you just need a thinner hardwood floor? Pricing of Hickory floors is affected by the width and length of the planks, your choice of solid hardwood or engineered wood, whether you want your cherry floor prefinished or unfinished, and the grade of Hickory flooring you select. To complete your cherry hardwood floor, don't forget custom milled Hickory air vents or custom Hickory stair materials. And of course, please check our specials page to see if any of our Hickory flooring is overstocked.
